Yes, sometimes your thoughts can upset them but at least they will know your opinion is an honest one. To build the habit of being honest at the time, start being honest about what you think. Next, be honest about how you feel. This helps your better understand your emotions as well as what you want to do. For instance, if you are angry at your son because he wants to pursue making instead to finance but deep down you feel that you should let him do what he wants because that is what will bring him happiness, be honest about your feelings. Instead of focusing on what you want and being stubborn, be honest about your emotions and use them as a cure to take the right action.

Lastly, be brutally honest about what you do and want to do. If you want your son to follow his hear, let him do so. If you want to do something you think will bring you happiness, be honest about it and do it right away. Moreover always be honest about your line of work. Often, we are not pleased with our profession or do not feel it is a respectable one. We then fabricate lies about it. Deep done, we cringe while doing this and do not feel at peace. This practice makes us shun our true self which makes us put a false faced. To be happy inside out, be more honest about your profession. If you are janitor, a dancer or a waiter at a local restaurant, be honest about it because what you do is what helps you bring food into your hose and that profession helps you sustain your lifestyle. If you are unhappy with what you do, find ways to improve it, being dishonest about it will not help you. Who knows, you could be one of the best chefs, dancers or janitors and might end up crating new connections with people how can help you grow in to your line of work.
For instance if a friend dresses for a wedding in something you consider hideous, help her out and give her a few tips. Make sure she knows that you care and that you are not just trying to bring her down. If you cannot do that keep your advice to yourself so she does not feel miserable.
