When I run into people who say, I am too old. I ask them if they would be willing to read the story of Colonel Sanders, a man who did not start becoming rich until he was in his sixties. When I hear a woman say, I cannot get ahead because it is a man’s world. When people say they are too young, I ask them to read about Bills Gates, a person who became the richest man in the world in his early thirties. If those stories do not expand their realties, I doubt if anything will.
The thing about people who try to become rich by being cheap, being frugal, not spending money, living below their means and crimping. Most people do not become financially strong with that type of behavior. A person needs to spend more if they want to become rich but they must know how to spend and what to spend on in order to become rich. There are good expenses and bad expenses. And most of us know that there is good food and bad food. Just as a person tires to lose weight by starving, a person who tries to get rich by being cheap only gets financially weaker and then suddenly they too go on a binge. But it not an eating bingle. It is a spending binge. And just as a binge eater will load up on junk food, the binge spender loads up on cheap junk.
I have noticed that most people are not successful because they avoid failure at all costs. Just as the investment advisor advised against starting a business because nine out of ten business fail, most people look upon failure as bad. The rich person would thing that failure was essential to learning and success. I personally have learned more after I fail than before I fail. The healing process after the failure is ultimately what gives me more emotional and financial strength.
The rich people have ability to continually change and expand is reality that ultimately make him wealthy. The rich have the ability to continually change and expand his reality and ultimately make him wealthy. If you want to become healthier and wealthier, you need to go beyond your reality. You need to live your life in the realm of new possibilities. The good news is that if you do consistently go beyond your limits, you gain the best leverage of all. You gain the lavage of becoming healthier, wealthier, saying younger longer, maybe even becoming better looking. To me, that is leverage worth living for.
