Do not get me wrong. I think passion can be great but there is just so much more to business than chasing what you think will make you happy. Do not start with what you are love. Ask yourself, instead what you are good at. What skills do you have that you can use to make money? To answer that question you have to become attuned to hidden opportunities you might not recognize. You have to get curious.
Listen, nobody wants to burn the boats of a successful career for a risky endeavor, especially on that may not pan out. Success is not a given. Will you succeed at this new pursuit? Maybe. But you do not have to go all n right now, all you have to do is try. They key is consistency. Can you maintain a steady peace for an extended period of time? Can you push through difficult times when you are bored and have no desire to continue? Can you so what most people are unwilling to do and keep going when others would give up? That is what makes the difference for most entrepreneurs.
Those who succeed in business are not necessarily passionate about their industry or product. In fact, they often are not particularly exceptional at anything except, maybe their willingness to not quit. There is no such thing as work you will never get stressed over, never get bored with or never complain about. I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious. You do not need to be amazing at something you just need to stay curious.
You do not have to be the best in the world at something, you just need to identify something that brings you joy. Everyone is curious about something.
Sometimes the thing that creates value for your business is a specific king of knowledge. Other times it can be a physical product built by someone else that you sell directly to the audience that has already expressed interest in solving that problem. The smartest way to build a business around that audience might not be some secret tip on how to beat the boss but rather a gaming keyboard that already exists. You do not have to reinvest the wheel just solve the simplest problem you can..
If people are already buying it then that means there is demand for it. No need to reinvent the wheel. No need for passion. Focus on skills and demand and y9u will find a business worth building.
