Discipline yourself to not check your email first thing in the morning. You can double and triple your productivity by breaking the addiction to electronic interruption, especially email. Instead, resole to check your email only twice per day at 11 am and at 3 pm. Turn off the sound on your copter that alerts you to incoming email. Do not allow yourself to become a salve to someone else randomly communicating with you on issues that in most cases can wait until later and much later.
