The hardest part of defining success and moving toward what you want is realizing when you have outgrown your current peer group and need to make new friends. Heck, it took me over a decade to realize I needed new people in my life. If you find that your friends and family are not being supportive of your values and priorities, if they are constantly questioning your actions, it is time to make new friends.
You cannot spend your time and energy constantly truing to convince those who are supposed to be supporting you of the legitimacy of your goals. At least, I do not recommends it. It is not worth the trouble. For example, if you are determined to get into better shape and lose weight do not hand out with friends who are constantly inviting your to get fate food.
A great way to meet your people is by attending live events. Over the years, I have met most of my close friends through conferences and meet ups and other live events. There are just something special about getting together in person, going out for a meal or a drink and getting to experience life together. There is only so much of person you can experience on a screen.
I never thought in a million years that I could create a big figure business without a large team. But once I saw my friends doing it, I knew it was possible with the right systems. The fastest way to grow is to meet someone who has been there before, learn what they did and start emulating their behavior. When in doubt, surround yourself with winners and the impossible will become likely.
You do not have to completely ditch the people on list but you need to distance yourself from excessive negativity. You need to know who might be dragging you down or holding you back, so that you can set healthy boundaries and give yourself the best shot at succeeding. Meanwhile, find out where the people in list hang out and meet as many likeminded people at you can in person. Form a mastermind group, meet regularly and I guarantee it will transform your life. Surrounding yourself with the right people who are doing business the way you want to do it can be just the encouragement y9ou need to keep going.
